As much as Taylor Swift’s love life, song meanings and earning power makes headlines, it’s important to remember that pop stars with this type of presence have a lot more to them than that.
In the case of Swift, she clearly enjoys brightening up the days of her fans, especially those who are at a children’s hospital and having a tough time.
On July 12 while in Australia with her new beau, actor Tom Hiddleston, Swift paid a visit to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. Here, she signed autographs, posed for photos with some of the kids and even performed her hit “Shake It Off” with a young patient.
“Thank you Taylor Swift for dropping by the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital this afternoon to give our patients and families a special surprise they’ll never forget,” reads a post on the hospital’s official Facebook page. “They’ll never ‘shake off’ the memories you made tonight.”
Fortunately, the visit (which was made possible by Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia) has been documented across social media, thanks to those who managed to spend some time with Swift.
